WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY FIRST POPCYCLE CLASS?

If you are new to our studio, please arrive 15 minutes early so we can get you acquainted with the studio. Our front desk staff can guide you through check-in and introduce you to the instructor. You can store your belongings in our lockers in the reception area. Please bring a lock if you want to secure your items. Next, your POPCYCLE Instructor will properly fit your bike - make sure the seat and handlebars are at the right height for you. They will also introduce you to the features of the bike. You should expect the first class to be challenging, but it's your ride and up to you to make it as challenging as you wish. As you familiarize yourself with our style of riding, you will quickly learn how to maximize your experience in class. No worries, no judgments. Just have fun!

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR AND BRING TO CLASS?

You should wear tight-fitting exercise attire. Bring a water bottle to keep you hydrated during the ride. We recommend, but do not require, clip-in shoes at our studio. All of our bikes are SPD compatible. No cycle shoes? No problem. It is perfectly fine to use normal athletic shoes. If you decide to take up indoor cycling, you will want to purchase a quality pair of SPD compatible shoes. You will definitely find a difference in your experience ensuring a complete pedal stroke creating a more efficient ride and a full use of the leg. The result is a more intense cardio experience and more calories burned at class. Our instructors are happy to make cycling shoe recommendations.

I’M A FIRST-TIME RIDER AND I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A WHILE – CAN I STILL COME?

Absolutely! Cycling is a low-impact exercise with limitless potential and a great place to get started. Our style is scaleable – whether you’re a first time rider or have loved indoor cycle for years, our classes provide maximum benefit to each rider, every time. Please let our team know it’s your first ride so we can accommodate you and make you feel most welcome. We are here to help you have the best possible indoor cycling experience.
